8.2.1  Education and Training Activities for Unsubsidized Employment Placements

If a participant is placed in CMFCase Management Follow-Up, CMF+Case Management Follow-Up Plus, or CMUCase Management Underemployed, the education and training case management services may include:

·        Employment skills training;

·        English as a second language classes;

·        A course of study meeting the high school graduation equivalency standards established under Wis. Stat. s. 115.29(4); or

·        Other remedial education courses (e.g., adult basic education, literacy services).

The W-2Wisconsin Works agency must include an education and training activity in the participant’s EPEmployability Plan and pay for the education services if:

1.             The W-2 agency determines that the appropriate placement for an individual is CMF, CMF+, or CMU; and

2.             The individual needs and wishes to pursue basic education.
