8.2.3 IPV Notification

An individual must be notified in writing by the W-2 agency that they committed an IPVIPVIntentional Program Violation.

The IPV letter is automatically generated and sent from WWPWWPWisconsin Work Programs when an IPV is entered, and informs the individual of the following:

  1. The W-2W-2Wisconsin Works agency’s determination of the IPV; and
  2. The dates and a description of the fraudulent act that resulted in the IPV penalty.

Note: Unlike W-2 IPVs, W-2 agencies are not required to allow the individual seven working days to rectify an IPV for EAEAEmergency Assistance.
