Court Case Summary
What Is All This Information?
This screen summarizes the information included in your divorce and/or paternity case, and any court orders you have for child support and family support. This is a record of the information in KIDS about your child support case(s). If you have more than one court case, you may view the record for each case separately by selecting the case from the Select a Court Case list.
Current Court Case Information
For each court case, you might have one or more KIDS cases. Each KIDS case is assigned a unique case number (sometimes called the "IV-D case number"), which appears in the Case Number column. For each KIDS case, this section will also list:
- the case type (e.g., Medicaid Only, or Child Support Services),
- the case status (e.g., Monitor Order, or Locate)
- whether the KIDS case is open or closed
Related Court Case Information
This section lists the court case:
- payer's name (first, middle, last)
- payee(s) name(s) (first, middle, last)
- last-review date (when the court order was last reviewed, either administratively by the child support agency, or judicially by the court)
If there are issues with the location of the payer and/or the payer's employment information, the information will appear in the Payer Locate Status field. Remember: Payers must report changes in employment to the Trust Fund (800-991-5530) or to the child support agency.
Financial Orders
This section lists all financial orders related to the court case, including:
- case number (KIDS case number),
- financial debt type (the individual components of the court order which set out how much the payer owes on an obligation), e.g., "Child Support - Current Support" or "Family Support - Current Arrears Interest"
- amount ordered for the debt type (e.g., $35 bi-weekly)
- period (how often the ordered payment on the debt type is due)
- effective date (the date the first payment on the debt type was due)
Health Insurance Orders
This section of the screen lists the KIDS case number, and any health insurance orders, and the effective date of the insurance order.
Other Orders
This section lists any other terms of your court order, which might include (among others):
