Child Care Licensing Procedure Manual
The Department of Children and Families [delegated to, and hereafter referred to as the Bureau of Early Care Regulation (BECR)] has identified the documents that must be collected and retained for each child care center and day camp, based on statutory and administrative rule requirements. A facility file containing these records is maintained for each licensed facility and includes all documents uploaded into the Wisconsin Child Care Regulatory System (WISCCRS) data system. WISCCRS is a web-based system that stores information on all licensed, certified and license exempt public school child care programs in Wisconsin. It includes detailed records about the applicant/licensee and location, as well as results of background checks, site visits, complaint investigations, violations, correction plans, enforcements, etc.
This chapter of the procedure manual identifies the documents that make up a facility file and the location for uploading facility records into WISCCRS.
