BECR regional office staff inform other involved agencies when a temporary closure agreement is executed in lieu of summary suspension. This notification is usually accomplished first through verbal communication and is then followed up by forwarding a copy of the signed temporary closure agreement to each of the involved agencies. When a center is temporarily closed by BECR, representatives of the following agencies must be informed of the closure by BECR regional office staff:
Law enforcement and/or child protective services agencies conducting the investigation
DCF Office of Legal Counsel, to the attention of the attorney and paralegal assigned to represent BECR in administrative hearings
Bureau of Child Care Subsidy Administration (BCCSA)
Bureau of YoungStar
County/tribal subsidy staff, who will suspend authorizations by entering the ‘Suspend Authorization’ date and reason into CSAW
Department of Public Instruction, Child & Adult Care Food Program
Wisconsin Early Childhood Association
