1.10.2 Continuing a Regular License When No Children Have Been in Care

If a licensing specialist has been unable to complete all monitoring requirements for a regular license during the two-year monitoring period because the center has had no children in care, but the monitoring that has occurred indicates that the center was operating in substantial compliance with applicable rules while it had children in care, the license may be continued at the end of two-year licensing period. BECR must conduct an announced monitoring visit before the center accepts children for care, at which time the licensee must meet minimum licensing requirements (using the Initial Licensing Checklist).
