8.2 Child Care Provider's Right to Respond to the CFS-294

Child care providers sometimes provide written commentary objecting to the violations included on the CFS-294. Such a statement is separate from the licensee’s correction plan and is not displayed on the Regulated Child Care and YoungStar Public Search website. The written statement should be uploaded to WISCCRS with other written documents that do not carry over to the public website (such as staff information). A comment indicating that a written statement was submitted by the licensee should be noted in the Site Visit internal comments field in the mobile app. The licensee’s written statement must be made available to the public in an open records request.
