4.5 Rule Summary Statement

Rule summary statements, comprised of just a few descriptive words, give the reader a “quick take” on the subject matter of the violation. The identification of each violation includes the rule summary statement title. For example, the violation of the administrative rule number Wis. Admin. Code § DCF 251.055(1)(a) would be headed with the summary statement: ‘Close supervision of children’. All licensing specialists use the same rule summary statements to identify administrative rule violations. Rule summary statements are automatically identified in the mobile app and in WISCCRS when the administrative rule number is entered on the CFS-294. The listing of cites for each administrative rule monitored by BECR, along with the corresponding rule summary statements, can also be found on the BECR shared drive.

When the CFS-294 is completed in the mobile app and electronically in WISCCRS, the summary statement is automatically filled in and will be bolded to make it conspicuous.
