Child Care Licensing Procedure Manual
If a pattern of repeat violation emerges, either because the violation remains uncorrected or because there is a reoccurrence of the same violation, the licensing specialist should consult with the licensing manager/supervisor to determine a course of action based on the seriousness of the violation. The licensing manager/supervisor may decide to schedule an in-person or telephone conference between the licensee, the licensing specialist and the licensing manager/supervisor. During the conference, the licensing manager/supervisor will discuss the seriousness of the uncorrected or repeat violations and emphasize that enforcement actions may result if the licensee does not correct the violations and maintain compliance with the rule. Options for gaining compliance and preventing further repeat violations include a warning letter, an order to comply, issuing an imposed plan of correction under the authority of Wis. Stat. § 48.715(2)(e) or taking other serious enforcement action authorized under Wis. Stat. § 48.715. Four or more repeat, serious violations signify the need for an Order to Correct.
