Child Care Licensing Procedure Manual
At the end of the initial six-month probationary license period (or one-year probationary period for day camps), the licensing specialist must do one of the following:
Issue a regular, non-expiring license; or
Issue a second, six-month probationary license; or
Deny the application for the regular license.
When the probationary period ends (first or second) and the first regular, non-expiring license is issued, the licensing specialist assigns the program to the appropriate monitoring plan in WISCCRS.
For more information on specific licensing procedures, see the appropriate chapter in the Child Care Licensing Procedures section of this manual. For more information on initiating an enforcement action such as a Revocation or Denial, see the Enforcement Actions section of this manual.
