Child Care Licensing Procedure Manual
The licensing specialist drafts the Notice to Inform Parents of Summary Suspension , utilizing the standardized format available on the BECR Intranet. Whenever possible, this document should be delivered to the parents of children in care either by the licensing staff or the licensee.
This notice informs parents of enrolled children that the facility has been ordered to cease operating, includes the link to the Regulated Child Care and YoungStar Public Search website and the contact number for the local resource and referral agency to assist the parent in obtaining alternative care. It also includes the name of the licensing specialist and telephone number at the regional office for further information. The notice is in a memo format from the licensing manager and does not require a signature.
The licensing specialist or other assigned staff person makes a sufficient number of copies of the notice to distribute to the affected parents and to OLC, to the attention of the appropriate attorney.
