7. Issuing an Order to Close Intake

An order to close intake compels a licensee to close the intake of any new children until all violations of the provisions of licensure under Wis. Stat. § 48.70(1), and the rules promulgated by the Department under Wis. Stat. § 48.67, are corrected. The order, signed by the licensing manager/licensing supervisor, states that the licensee must close the intake to any new children until all violation(s) have been corrected. The order identifies the additional enforcement actions that may be taken if the licensee fails to correct the violation(s). The standard format for an order is available on the BECR Intranet.
