11. The Length of Time that the Order Remains in Effect

An order remains in effect until all violations listed in the order are corrected. Once all violations are corrected, the order is closed. An order should never remain in effect longer than 2 years from the date that the violation(s) was initially cited. Other enforcement action, such as a forfeiture, must be initiated if one or more violations are still uncorrected at the end of the two-year period.
