Child Care Licensing Procedure Manual
Under Wis. Stat. § 48.657(2g), and Wis Admin Code §§ DCF 250.04(2)(i), 251.04(2)(L), and 252.41(1)(L), Wis. Admin. Code, group child care centers, family child care centers, and day camps are required to post enforcement actions, including denials. The posting requirement for denials applies to child care applicants who are denied a regular license following their first or second probationary period. When the probationary licensee appeals the denial decision, the facility remains open during the denial appeal proceedings. The Notice of Denial must be posted as soon as it is received near the probationary license in an area visible to parents. It must remain posted until there is a final conclusion to the denial proceedings.
