2.4.1.2 If there has been a Previous Referral to the Certifying Agency Regarding this Currently Uncertified Provider

If a search of WISCCRS reveals that a center that is not currently certified, and that has no BECR history, had a previous complaint referred to the certifying agency, BECR must conduct an on-site investigation. The new complaint cannot be investigated through mailed documents. In this case, the regional staff person should alert the assigned licensing specialist conducting the on-site investigation that there is a previous complaint referral. The licensing specialist should make the certifying agency aware of the current complaint and the outcome of the investigation but the certifying agency does not have the authority to participate in the investigation.
