Child Care Licensing Procedure Manual
When serious and/or numerous violations are found during a monitoring visit to a program with a probationary license, the licensing specialist must consult with the licensing manager/licensing supervisor to obtain approval to take one or more of the following actions:
Place special conditions on the license through a stipulation;
Deny a regular license at the end of the probationary period;
Take enforcement action;
Issue a second probationary license; or
Revoke the license.
In very serious situations in which children may be at risk, the licensing specialist can revoke the probationary license before the end of the probationary period rather than wait until the end of the probationary license to deny the application for the regular, non-expiring license.
