2.1.4 Delay in Submitting Application Materials

If the applicant does not submit all of the required application materials to BECR within six months of the date that the Initial Licensing Checklist was signed by the SFTA TC, the applicant must repeat the technical assistance process from the start, and update and re-submit all application materials before s/he can be considered for licensure. The BECR regional program associate should alert the licensing specialist when all application materials have not been submitted within the six-month time frame so that the licensing specialist can contact the applicant and assess whether there are extenuating circumstances that justify the delay in submittal of materials. The licensing specialist, with the licensing manager/licensing supervisor’s approval, may waive the six-month limit for submittal of all required application materials if the applicant presents a plausible reason for the delay, indicating circumstances outside of the applicant’s control. For example, the applicant may have encountered a delay in securing a Building Inspection Report from a qualified building inspector.
