Child Care Licensing Procedure Manual
The licensing specialist may assist in reviewing the application materials to ensure that all necessary materials have been submitted and may also contact the applicant directly if any information is still needed.
It is the responsibility of the licensing specialist to review the Policy Checklist - Family Child Care Centers (DCF-F-CFS-2356) and accompanying policies and procedures to ensure that the applicant has submitted all required policies and that the applicant’s policies do not conflict with family child care administrative rules. The license applicant may need to revise some policies and the licensing specialist is responsible for final approval of the revised policies.
Once all documents have been submitted and approved, the licensing specialist then moves on to the next phase of the licensing process, determining whether the applicant is eligible for licensure.
