Child Care Background Check Procedures
The CBU uploads background check records in WISCCRS to include Background Check Request forms, FBI and DOJ results, IBIS search results, police records, court documents, out-of-state records and any other information deemed appropriate by the CBU. If a CPS child abuse and neglect investigation is part of the documentation, this should be placed in Confidential Individual Documents. CPS and juvenile court information is considered confidential and cannot be shared.
