Child Care Background Check Procedures
When the background check results in the discovery of a record that affects or may affect licensure or certification, maintaining confidentiality of the record is paramount. A confidential record can be discussed among BECR regional licensing and CBU staff, Office of Legal Counsel (OLC) staff and certification staff to determine appropriate action. Staff must be mindful that the results should not be shared with others.
