Child Care Background Check Procedures
The background check law permits further appeal rights for people who have sought rehabilitation review, but failed to demonstrate their rehabilitation through clear and convincing evidence. The appeal must be made within 10 days of the decision. Decisions made by a DCF panel may be appealed by contacting the DCF Rehabilitation Review Coordinator and may subsequently be appealed under Wis. Stat. ยง 227 to the Division of Hearings and Appeals.
