7.3.5 Submitting the Results

Once the panel reaches a decision, the results are conveyed in writing to the requestor. DCF sends a completed copy of the required Rehabilitation Review Panel Decision Report form to the DCF Rehabilitation Review Coordinator within 10 days of issuing its decision. Once submitted to the coordinator, the individual’s name is entered into a centralized database. A search of this database is part of the Integrated Background Information System (IBIS) report. Search results indicate whether the individual is known to the rehabilitation review process and the phone number where more information can be obtained. However, the IBIS results will not display the outcome of the rehabilitation review.

The requestor’s rehabilitation review approval letter states the results and conditions of the approval. This letter must be presented to the CBU as part of the background check determination. If the rehabilitation review was completed prior to July 30, 2012, the regulatory agency should obtain the details about the approval from Department of Health Services OLC. If the rehabilitation review was completed after this date, DCF OLC has the information.
