Child Care Background Check Procedures
The CBU collects the documents necessary to make a substantially related determination. When a child protective service investigation is involved, these records must be obtained from the investigating agency including, if applicable, law enforcement arrest records. For criminal violations, the primary records are obtained from the Clerk of Courts, including law enforcement arrest history and other relevant documents.
