2.8 Requirements when Applicant or Licensee Represents a Corporation

When a licensed child care center is owned by a corporation, the president or chairperson of the board of directors is considered the licensee. The president or chairperson may designate another member of the board of directors to complete the Background Check Request form and fulfill the background check requirement. This designation must be done in writing and signed by the licensee. BECR does not require completion of a specific standardized form to make this designation.

This designation must be date stamped and uploaded to the Applicant Details Documents section in WISCCRS using the Document Type of “CBC Delegations.”
