5.3.1 - Delivery of Notice

The written notice may be sent certified mail if the agency chooses, however, there is no requirement to send sanction notices certified mail. In some situations the notice of revocation may be hand delivered to an operator. In this case, the certification worker may wish to document the date, time and persons involved in the hand delivery. If the operator refuses the hand delivery, the notice is left at the location.

The Enforcements Module in WISCCRS provides a place for the certification worker to document when the notice was mailed and when it was received/signed by the operator/applicant or if the letter was returned as “unclaimed”.

The certification worker may request the operator turn in his/her certificate of approval but this is not required.

Note: The notice shall be uploaded in the Enforcements Module. If the notice contains confidential information (i.e. identifies juveniles, includes mental health, AODA information) the notice shall be uploaded into the confidential documents module.
