Child Care Certification Policy Manual
In order to lift the suspension or “reinstate” the certification, the certification worker will need to create a new category in WISCCRS. The new category begin date will be the date the suspension is lifted to the end date that was there prior to the suspension. Leave the suspended category status as is to ensure the operator is not paid for the time period while s/he was unregulated.
If the operator has not corrected the violation(s) that resulted in a suspension within 60 days, the certification worker must make a decision regarding the operator’s status and the potential of revocation. Unless the basis for the suspension is due to the Background Check Law, a suspension shall not last longer than 60 days.
