Child Care Certification Policy Manual
The certification agency may not grant certification if an applicant (or non-client resident) has an offense that bars the person from working or residing in a certified program (including pending charges of serious offenses). The background check eligibility determination is issued by the CBU. Certification agencies can view the background check results (with the exception of FBI and CPS results), preliminary and final eligibility determination notices and Guide to Relevancy or background check analysis documents in WISCCRS.
