18 - Exit Interview (optional)

Some certification agencies use, in addition to the Standards and Checklist, the Exit Interview form to summarize necessary corrections before the certification will be granted. Use of the Exit Interview is not mandatory.

At the conclusion of a site visit, the certification worker may conduct a brief exit interview in which the certification worker conveys / communicates to the operator results or a summary of the site visit. The Exit Interview form may be used to communicate in writing any violations noted, particularly when the certifier will be mailing the Noncompliance Statement at a later date. (This document is also available at Document Sales.)

The Exit Interview form may be used in addition to a Noncompliance or Compliance Statement but may not be used in lieu if either of these forms.

All monitoring visits (with exception of initial and relocation) shall result in issuance of either a Compliance or Noncompliance Statement.
