Child Care Certification Policy Manual
As stated above, certifiers should not take responsibility for developing an acceptable correction plan for operators. In some rare instances, however, the certification worker may, as part of issuing the noncompliance statement, include an “imposed plan of correction”. This most commonly occurs when it is determined that a certain, specific measure must be taken in order for the operator to achieve compliance with a statute / rule and when the operator’s certification is suspended, or a warning letter is issued. Failure to submit a required BCR form for a new resident, for example, may warrant (but does not require) an imposed plan of correction.
When the certification worker is imposing a plan of correction s/he develops the written plan and enters the information into the appropriate WISCCRS field. The plan is then printed onto the 294 Noncompliance Statement. See WISCCRS User Guide – Monitoring Results for additional guidance.
