4.7.2 Additional Coursework Not Approved as Pre-service Coursework

Keep in mind there are additional training requirements for licensed family child care providers that should not be confused with requirements for regular (Level 1) certification. For example, Skills and Strategies for the Child Care Teacher and Fundamentals of Infant and Toddler Care are required courses for licensed child care providers but are not required for regular (Level 1) certification.

Note: Fundamentals of Infant and Toddler Care meets the SIDS (if completed after September 2001) and SBS (if completed after 7/1/05) or AHT (if completed after 8/31/20) training requirements.
