4.7.1 Grandfathering Entry-Level Coursework

If the applicant / operator has completed a 15- or 40-hour course prior to 2005 (called Early Childhood 1, also formerly referred to as the “certification” or “licensing” course), the provider is grandfathered in and has met the certification entry-level training requirements equivalent to the Introduction to the Child Care Profession (or Principles of Child Care Certification) and Fundamentals of Family Child Care. In these cases, however, the applicant / operator has to document that s/he has taken the required SIDS and AHT/SBS training and effective 4/1/18 CPR training.
