Child Care Certification Policy Manual
A degree in business or business administration will meet the requirements for the Fundamentals of Family Child Care course. If the individual does not have a degree in business but has completed a business course / class that is 2 or more credits, the certification worker should request and review the course description to make a determination if it is equivalent to the Fundamentals of Family Child Care. In these cases, the individual still needs to complete the requirements for Introduction to the Child Care Profession or Principles of Child Care Certification, along with SIDS, AHT/SBS and CPR training.
