3.11 Recertification

DCF 202.04(5)(b)2 states that the certification period cannot exceed 2 years and shall be renewed upon application if the operator continues to comply with certification standards. Certification agencies should send recertification application materials to certified operators 2-3 months in advance of the operator’s Regular expiration date. Certification workers may use Web Intelligence (WebI) reports to determine which operators will be expiring in the future and to generate mailing labels.

Although certifiers must visit the program annually to monitor identified health and safety standards, a certifier must review all administrative rules applicable to the program during on-site visits over a two-year period. A certifier may review all of the standards at the time of the certification renewal visit or over the two-year period.
