Fixing Fraud in Wisconsin SharesThe Department of Children & Families is aggressively working to stop fraudulent abuses of the Wisconsin Shares program. The Wisconsin Shares program has been scammed by criminals who cheat Wisconsin taxpayers and give hard-working parents and child care providers a bad name. YoungStar will link Wisconsin Shares reimbursement to quality. Higher quality providers will receive higher reimbursement than lower quality providers. This system of quality rating will enable the Department of Children & Families to identify those quality providers, share that information with parents, and reward providers for exceeding minimum expectations.
