Dear Ms. Thomas:
Enclosed are amendments to Wisconsin?s Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) block grant state plan. You will note that we are resubmitting the text pages for the entire plan. This is not a new plan but, because of the extensive revisions and page renumbering necessary to update it, we felt it was easier to resubmit the text pages for the entire plan. A list of the changes in the plan is enclosed.
The plan has been updated to:
- reflect the changes made as a result of 1999 Wisconsin Act 9 (see the enclosed s.48.57(3m), Stats., and Chapter 49, as amended by Act 9);
- provide information related to the 2000-2001 W-2 and Related Programs Implementation Contract; and
- include policy clarifications related to the TANF final regulations.
A summary of Wisconsin?s current TANF block grant state plan is available on the Department?s internet site at
http://www.dwd.state.wi.us/.We understand that following your review, you will notify the Department to indicate that you have received the TANF plan amendments and that the amendments have been incorporated into Wisconsin?s complete TANF state plan.
Correspondence regarding these amendments should be sent directly to my office. Please contact Jennifer L. Noyes, Division Administrator, Division of Economic Support,
