Wisconsin Shares Suspension

Rationale for Reasonable Suspicion of Program Violation:

The Department of Children and Families suspended this child care provider from the Wisconsin Shares program due to a combination of red flags signifying Shares violations. These were identified through data and in person visits.

During an in-person visit by investigators on September 18, the provider was present. She sent a text message while being interviewed, and then her mother arrived at the facility. There were two children present, which is significantly less than the 13 children referenced for the previous payment period. The children present were both grandchildren of the provider's mother. The provider's mother supplied attendance records for the period of August 17th through September 18th, but no records existed prior to August 17th.

The provider received a licensing citation on July 21st for not maintaining attendance records.
