During an in-person visit on September 24, Department of Children and Families staff was unable to gain access to the facility. A note on the door stated that "1st and 2nd shift on an outing" with no date, only a phone number. Staff spoke to licensee on phone and she said she was at a private appointment. The licensee was not aware that the person in charge had taken the children. The licensee called staff back and said that the employee in charge had written the note, and that she was caring for the licensee's daughter and one other child.
