The Department of Children and Families suspended this child care provider from the Wisconsin Shares program due to a combination of red flags signifying Shares violations. These were identified through data and in person visits.
As of mid September, 2009, the provider had 19 Shares authorizations for a facility licensed to serve a total of 8 children. Of those 19 authorizations, 12 authorizations (62%) were for children of Highly Favored Childcare Center employees.
During a visit by Department of Children and Families staff on September 24, the licensee was not able to produce attendance records. The licensee stated that no attendance records were on the premises and that they were at her office.
The provider was previously cited for a licensing violation on January 7, 2009 for inaccurate attendance records, because three children were not signed in that day.
