Child Welfare Policy and Licensing Memos:
Numbered Memos are used to convey child welfare related policies or procedures which includes child welfare licensing updates. They include directives on new regulations, clarification of existing procedures or changes in state statutes or Departmental policies which affect the operation of child welfare programs.
- Information Memos contain material which is strictly informational and time-limited. They include announcements about budget allocations, provide details on quality assurance reviews/results, give details on new pamphlets or announce public hearings.
Child Welfare Licensing Memos are used to convey information to Child Welfare agencies that are licensed by the Department of Children and Families. The memos would include information on new regulations, state laws, policies or procedures affecting group homes, Shelter Care Facilities, Residential Care Centers and Private Child Placing Agencies.
Child Care Regulation & Licensing Memos are used to convey information to providers and programs licensed by the Department of Children Families . They include information on new regulations, state laws, policies or procedures affecting child care centers, family child care, group child care and day camps.
eWiSACWIS Operations Memos offer information about new or updated reporting driven by the Wisconsin Statewide Automated Child Welfare Information System. Other memos will discuss areas of the eWiSACWIS application affected by policy and procedural changes and standards of practice updates.
Bureau of Working Families (BWF) Operations Memos are published to relate policy decisions concerning Wisconsin Works (W-2), Job Access Loans, Emergency Assistance, and other programs managed by BWF.
Department of Health Services (DHS) Operations Memos are joint memos from the Department of Children and Families and DHS relaying policy decisions.
