Wisconsin Child Protective Services (CPS) monthly information pertaining to the report screening, initial assessment, and worker contact processes of child welfare. The annual report is posted for each calendar year.

Annual CPS Reports

Number of Screened-In Reports - Counts of screened-in reports showing Statewide, Bureau of Milwaukee Child Welfare, (BMCW) and Balance of State totals. These reports are archived.
Child Abuse and Neglect Report provides statewide and county specific counts of child demographics, abuse, neglect, victim, and maltreater information for a calendar year period
Screening Rates - shows the percent of CPS reports screened in compared with all CPS reports received on a monthly basis for the past six months.   Screening Rates Statewide shows State, BMCW and Balance of State.  Screening Rates County shows an individual county rate compared to the Statewide along with the supporting counts.
Initial Face to Face Contact Timeliness - shows the percent of reports where the initial face to face contact was made within the designated time period. Only reports with initial assessments approved during the month shown are included in this report.
Initial Assessment Timeliness - shows the percent of initial assessments approved in the past month which were approved within 60 days. The standard is that all initial assessments should be approved within 60 days.
