The successful full day course "Civil Rights Compliance in Service Delivery Training for Agency Heads" was presented 3 times: On January 10th, 11th, and February 6th. The February session was also offered as a web cast in Madison.
The course provides information that promotes an in depth understanding of the responsibilities that agency management staff have as they develop and implement an effective Civil Rights Compliance Service Delivery Program in their organizations. These programs are designed to ensure that programs, services, and activities funded with federal dollars are fully accessible on an equal basis and in a non-discriminatory manner.
Agencies receiving federal financial assistance are required to train their staff in Civil Rights Compliance at least once every three years. This curriculum was developed to satisfy that requirement. Therefore, we highly recommend you view the training through this learning center to create a record of this requirement being met. When DFS staff conduct a monitoring visit they will obtain information from the learning center regarding your agency’s participation in this training as one method of determining if this requirement has been met.
The web cast of this training program is now available through the DWD/DHFS Learning Center along with additional resource information in the format of a Participant Guide.
