Fostering Our Future
Robin and Paul Plowman from Tomah, WI
For nearly a decade parents Robin and Paul Plowman have demonstrated their compassion for children by opening up their home. They have fostered many children over the years and have adopted three of their foster children.
The Plowmans are currently hoping to adopt another child who came to their home in 2004 as an abused infant. This infant has significant medical needs and developmental delays due to being shaken as a baby. The Plowmans have dedicated themselves to finding medical specialists and making sure the insurance company covers the care for him. They are always on the look out for new services, treatments or equipment to give this child the best life possible, despite the obstacles.
Robin and Paul received the 2010 Governor's Foster Care Award for their hard work and devotion to the children and families of Monroe County.
