Fostering Our Future

Glenda Borgen

After raising five daughters of her own, Glenda now serves as a foster parent to teenage girls from a wide variety of backgrounds with a range of needs and abilities. Glenda has been a foster parent for almost eleven years in Eau Claire.

She is a caring, compassionate person, who pushes her foster children to be the best that they can be. She manages the schedules of busy teenaged girls, encourages them to better themselves, and still has time to spend with each girl one-on-one so that they get the attention they need. She found a special calling in helping young women. Glenda was one of the recipients of the 2009 Governor's Foster Care awards.
