Foster Care Month, May 2010

May is national Foster Care month. This is a time to recognize the efforts of those who make a difference in the lives of foster children. Nearly 7,300 Wisconsin children are in out of home care every year, and there are more than 4,100 foster care parents in the state who open their homes and lives to help these children. They impact the lives of our children every day and work toward the mission of DCF - to protect children, strengthen families, and build communities.

To learn of scheduled events in your area, please contact your local foster care coordinator for scheduled events or visit the Foster Care and Adoption Resource Center website.
