NGA Center for Best Practices
Three Branches Institute on Adolescents in Foster Care:
Increasing Permanency, Reducing Entries
In June 2011, the Department of Children and Families was awarded a grant from the National Governors Association (NGA) to reduce placements into out-of-home care and increase permanency for adolescents in the child welfare and juvenile justice systems. The NGA project is intended to be a collaboration among the three branches of government. Here you will find a summary of the work done under this grant and updates on initiatives under the 2-year strategic plan established under this project.
