Promoting Safe and Stable Families / Incentive Instructions
The Promoting Safe and Stable Families (PSSF) and the IV-E Incentive Program focuses on helping families stay together. It seeks to prevent child abuse and neglect, avoid the removal of children from their homes and supports timely reunification where temporary removal has been necessary, in order to ensure children’s safety. The program also provides services to promote and support adoptions for those children who cannot return home safely. The services are also designed to help agencies operate integrated, preventive family preservation services and community-based family support services for families at risk or in crisis.
