Child Care Regulatory Program

The Wisconsin Department of Children and Families (DCF) is responsible for the licensing and regulation of the following programs:

• Child Care Programs (Family and Group Child Care and Day Camps)
• Child Welfare Licensing (Residential Care Centers for Children and Youth, Group Foster Homes, Shelter Care Facilities)
• Child Placing Agencies

The purpose of the child care regulatory program is to promote the health, safety, and welfare of children in regulated community care arrangements.
