MPS Homeless Education Program
Tutoring Services - MPS offers FREE Supplemental Education Services. See the web page for information and talk with your child's school.
Child Find Information: Children ages 3-21 are referred for a free screening by contacting 414-475-8593. If the child is currently enrolled in a MPS contact the child's teacher, school psychologist or principle. The same for a Charter school or private/parochial school. For additional information check MPS Department of Special Services.
Foster care and kinship care families automatically qualify for MPS Head Start. Interested families should show their placement letter, proof of address, and immunization records. For questions or concerns, please call Nicole Thomas at (414) 777-7850.
Free lunch: All children in out-of-home care quality for free lunch and other benefits that use free lunch as the criteria for reduced feed (such as Milwaukee Recreation Division). Caregivers should provide the Placement Verification Letter to the school when applying. Information sheet.
