Foster Care and Adoption
in Milwaukee County

In cases where children may not be safe with their family of origin and no extended family can care for the child, Children's Court may order the child to be placed in a foster home. Children's Service Society of Wisconsin partners with BMCW to recruit, train and license foster families. Ongoing Case Managers assist the foster family in meeting the needs of the children and facilitate visits by parents when allowed.

Foster and Adoptive Parent Orientation

If you have ever thought of becoming a foster or adoptive parent, now is the time to take the first step. BMCW has two agencies that recruit, license, and support foster parents. Your first step is to go to one of the orientation sessions.
