Updating Name, Address, Phone Number or Employment Information
Reporting Name Changes
Send your name change to the Social Security Administration (SSA). After the SSA officially updates their records with your name change, then send proof to the child support agency.
If you have a child support debit card, the child support agency will report your official name change to the debit card vendor.
Reporting Address Changes
Update your mailing address when it changes. Many official support notices are sent by mail. To ensure that you receive important notices, your office needs your current mailing address. If you do not have a log-on ID for the Child Support Online Services (CSOS), contact your child support agency or court to update your information.
If you have a log-on ID for the Child Support Online Services (CSOS), log on to CSOS and follow the instructions in the online help (under Personal Information) for updating your address. This will update your address record in CSOS and in KIDS. It will not update your address on your debit card. You must call Chase's toll-free number (1-866-817-0761) and report your new address.
Reporting Phone Number Changes
If you have a log-on ID for the Child Support Online Services (CSOS), log on to CSOS and follow the instructions in the online help (under Personal Information) for updating your phone number(s). This will update your phone(s) record in CSOS and in KIDS. It will not update your phone number with the child support debit card vendor. You must call Chase's toll-free number (1-866-817-0761) and report your new phone number(s).
If you do not have a log-on ID for the Child Support Online Services (CSOS), contact your child support agency or court to update your information.
Reporting Employment Changes
State law requires payers to report employment changes to their child support agency (or to the court, if they are only getting financial management services) within 10 days of losing your job, a change in income, getting a new job, or changing jobs.
